Loading:

Bulk products sold by the front-end loader scoop
        1 scoop is about 20 cu. ft. (a bit less than a cu. yd.)
        3 scoops fit in a full sized pick-up bed
        1 scoop covers approx. a 5 ft. x 12 ft. area 2″ thick

NOTE: We do not always have a loader operator at the store. Please call ahead before picking up bulk mulch to ensure we have an operator available.

Premium Natural Hardwood mulch

Shredded texture. This mulch has a very nice light brown-gold natural wood look when it’s freshly applied but it fades to a weathered gray very quickly. No dyes. 

Shredded composted bark mulch

Great for flower beds, gardens, around trees or wherever you chose. Has no hardwood so not harmful to plants. Contains pieces of bark that will take some time to break down. If you want a finer mulch we recommend Mushroom Compost however, Bark Mulch tends to have better weed control than Mushroom Compost.

Mushroom Compost

Made up of composted hay & manure (usually chicken litter). Mushroom growers use this as growing mix and periodically replenish it. Very useful, rich compost for gardens. Great soil additive for poor, clay soil areas in your garden or flower beds. Has a nice dark color that makes flowers stand out and provides a weed barrier. Keeps soil nice and loose over several years.

Top Soil

Very nice black dirt with some sand for better drainage and to keep it from getting as hard when it dries out. Great for gardens or regrading lawns.

3/4 River Gravel

Trap Rock comes from Farmington MO. A very nice light purple/mauve natural colored crushed 3/4″ – 1″ gravel. Stays in place well.

1 1/2″ Black Granite

Black Granite comes from Farmington MO and is a very nice clean, dark, 1 1/2″ decorative rock. Looks amazing as a landscaping rock. Spray it with a clear deck sealer for a brighter black and long lasting shine.

1 1/2″ white Rock

Approximately 1 1/2 inch diameter and bright white. This decorative rock comes from northeast Iowa. Looks beautiful as a landscaping rock.

Rubber mulch

Made from ground up tires this rubber mulch is excellent as a playground mulch. Provides excellent bounce for added safety. Will not deteriorate like wood mulches.
